Melodic and poetic, the Shelley Barratt Band’s songs are unconventional, yet middle-of-the-road accessible, crossing genres with indie-pop and folk-rock, singer-songwriter acoustic, Celtic, Latin and other international influences. Shelley’s voice has a soothing effect, offering a rare level of intimacy to the listener through driving rhythms with sophisticated guitar work.

PAST Besides writing songs that have received acclaim in the Billboard World Song Contest, Fame Games ‘Reviewers Picks’ and more, Shelley’s music has piqued the interest of dancers, authors and visionaries. Shelley has collaborated with artists of all kinds, and has performed at many different festivals and venues from Nashville to San Jose. A child of the southwest, Shelley sang lead with the regionally-known band, Sub Culture. She has hosted acoustic and women’s showcases, has sang back-up and played percussion for various artists in many locales, and has created music for modern dance, special occasions and visual media. Shelley currently resides in her home town of Albuquerque, NM, where she continues to write, record, and perform live with the Shelley Barratt Band.
