Patch McLaughlin
Baltimore, Maryland - USA
  BIOGRAPHY
Patch lives in his home town of Baltimore, M.D. where from a young age started listening to blues music. After being denied a drum set from his parents at age 13 Patch pick up his dad's old guitar and started teaching himself how to strum a few chords. By the time he was in highschool Patch had taught himself how to play rythm guitar pretty well. From there he started writing his own music. At the end of highschool Patch had a hand full of song and several recordings. In 2004 Patch joined the U.S. Marines where he found himself away from home with only his guitar to keep him company. Patch continued to write music and get better as a rythm guitarist. In late 2005 Patch and five other guys in his unit started a band (Phillip 66 Buzz Session). The band recorded a bunch of songs and played at a couple of bars before Patch quit the band. However, he did keep jamming with the other musicans separetly. Patch soon became more dedicated to his music then he had ever been. With in months Patch had moved out of the role of a rythm guitarist and became a very well rounded one. Mostly playing blues patch quickly developed his own sound. In the summer of 2007 patch recorded his first, mostly acuostic, demo ("From the Head") along with former band member and friend AJ Gentle. In early 2008 Patch recorded his second demo ("No Longer A Bedroom Musician") which was the first of his electric recordings. Later in the year Patch put out his first single ("Red Eyed Child"). In September 2008, Patch left the Marines and moved back home to Baltimore where he quickly released his third demo ("Coming Around Your Way) of old songs that didn't make it on to this previous demos. Patch is now working on a new group of songs thats challenging his style of music. Patch is trying to change his sound from Blues/Pop to Folk/Delta blues/Gosple. Patch is curently looking for a band to back him up. so... if you know anyone send Patch a message on Myspace.
